There’s no denying the value of a good testimonial. It shows potential customers how much other clients trusted you to solve their biggest issues. But what if you don’t have any testimonials? Is it still possible to get new clients?
The answer is, “Yes!” It’s absolutely possible to attract new clients without a testimonial. Let’s take a look at how you can do it.
Tip #1: Build Trust with Your Audience
Your audience needs to know that you “get” what it is they need help with. Testimonials prove that you got it right for other people, but you can still show potential customers you understand them without social proof. First, give details about what it is you do – how exactly will you help them?
It’s also important to relate to where they are right now (and where they want to be). Show them you really understand their pain points. They need to trust that you know what they’re going through as well as how to effectively solve their issue.
Tip #2: Use Other Social Proofs
No matter what it is you do, there are probably tons of statistics out there about how effective your type of service can be. Those stats and stories can work as your own social proof.
For instance, if you’re a social media manager, how many people active on social media spend money on products they see? If you’re a fitness coach, you may want to find stats about how many people are more successful when they have guidance and support.
Tip #3: Give It Away
Sometimes, when you don’t have testimonials, you need to do things a little differently at first. One great way to generate some serious testimonials is to give your product away to a select few people in exchange for a review.
These can be bloggers, YouTubers, TikTokers or even just some regular customers who are willing to provide you with a review. You’ll be able to share these reviews and generate new customers from their followers as well.
Testimonials are an excellent way to show the world you know your business and ultimately, they will help you secure new paying clients.
But they aren’t necessary to sell your services. When you can build trust with your audience and show them how valuable your services are, you’ll still find people willing to pay you. And with a little strategy, you can easily start capturing customer testimonials to promote your services.
