Selling your products and services is an incredible feeling. You get to put your talent to work, help others achieve their goals and make their lives better.
And while having a constant stream of new customers is great, it’s important to recognize the value of the people who have already purchased something from you. You’ve captured their attention and earned their trust. Upselling them on more of your offers is an excellent way to boost your sales.
So, how do you convince your customers to keep buying from you?
Here are a few of my favorite tips!
Tip #1: Keep in Touch
You probably put a lot of focus on sales funnels and attracting leads to convert prospects into customers. But once followers make a purchase, it’s important to communicate with them on a regular basis, if you want to generate repeat business.
Staying in touch shows your customers you care about their experience. Ask for feedback about your services and offer to help with any issues they may have encountered. Follow up a bit later to see how their experience was with your company. And eventually, contact them about your latest offers.
Tip #2: Be Available
It’s normal for customers to have questions and comments after working with you. Be available to address any issues that might come up, by being knowledgeable about what your clients need.
Keep an eye on your social pages and anywhere customers might leave reviews. If they compliment you, take a moment to thank them. If they seem to have an issue, address it briefly and invite them to reach out privately.
Tip #3: Develop What Your Customers Need
You can’t turn your customers into repeat buyers if you don’t have anything to sell them. Take some time to think about what other services your clients need. How could you help them build based on what you sold them previously?
This is where social listening comes into play. Often in online reviews, comments and of course, direct feedback, customers will tell you exactly what they need and what would help them achieve their goals. The more you can tailor your products and services to meet those needs, the more likely they’ll be to buy from you again.

Your current and previous customers should be a top priority when it comes to generating more sales. To encourage repeat buyers, keep in touch with previous customers, be available to listen to comments and work to develop more of what your customers need.
